Toms River, New Jersey: thousands of residents, veterans, marching bands, and first responders are scheduled to gather on Monday, May 25, for the township's Memorial Day parade, which begins at 9:30 a.m., proceeds along Main Street, and concludes with a wreath-laying ceremony at Town Hall honoring fallen U.S. service members. Across the region this week, municipalities have announced similar observances: Myrtle Beach hosts concerts, a museum tribute and a parade as part of America’s 250th countdown; Bellingham and Whatcom County scheduled parades and American Legion ceremonies Saturday and Monday; South Bend’s West Side marks its 100th parade with over 75 entrants and a post-parade mass at St. Joe Cemetery.
